Mount Bingo: Valentine's Day Edition

Mount Activities hosted a Valentine’s Day bingo on the evening of Feb. 14 in the PAC.

That evening, the PAC was filled with pink and red lighting, good music, and friendly competition as students got to win big prizes.

Mount St. Mary's Student Activities knew that Valentine’s Day would be a great time to host bingo night. Most students are out on Valentine’s Day with big plans, and Student Activities wanted to provide an exciting campus event as well.

Bingo night is Student Activities’ most popular event on campus, drawing many students each time it is held.

It’s a great opportunity to win prizes, hang out with friends and have fun. The event attracted a crowd of students eager to win prizes on the most love-filled day of the year.

This year’s Valentine’s Day bingo game night consisted of 20 rounds, with the final round featuring a grand prize.

The 19 winners who got five in a row on their bingo cards during the first 19 rounds received prizes, including Beats Pro Studio headphones, a weighted blanket, a Captain America Funko Pop, a vinyl record player, a karaoke machine and more.

The 20th round required players to cover their entire bingo card, and the winner took home the grand prize of the night—a 40-inch TV and an Xbox Series X. "It's always nice to see a lot of students come out to our bingo events," said the Director of Student Activities, Stephen Foster.

"I hope in the future that more students decide to take a chance on some of the other events and programs that we offer in Student Activities, as well as Student Life, the Center for Student Diversity, Campus Ministry, Residence Life and various clubs and organizations. These clubs try to put on really great events and programs for students.”

Foster thinks it’s important for those other events to get the same appreciation that students show for bingo.

Student Activities are always hosting exciting events like bingo and other fun gatherings for students to enjoy. These events provide great opportunities to relax, meet new people and take a break from academics.
